Festivify Privacy Policy

Festivify (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a decorative Shopify app that overlays seasonal festival effects and a banner on a merchant’s online store. This policy explains what data the app does and does not handle.

Data we do not collect

Festivify requests no Shopify access scopes and does not access, collect, store, or share any personal information about a store’s customers or buyers. We do not run analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising on your storefront.

Data the app stores

• App configuration. Your festival settings (which festivals run, appearance, manual overrides, custom festivals) are stored in an app-owned metafield on your store’s app installation, private to this app. It contains no personal data.
• Authentication session. To load the app inside your Shopify admin, we store the OAuth session token Shopify issues for your store. It is used solely to authenticate the merchant and is not customer data.

Storefront behavior

Decorations are rendered from static assets served by Shopify’s CDN. The app uses your browser’s sessionStorage only to remember that a visitor dismissed the festive banner for the current session. No personal data is collected from visitors.

GDPR and data requests

Festivify implements Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks:

• customers/data_request and customers/redact — because we store no customer data, there is nothing to return or erase; these are acknowledged as no-ops.
• shop/redact — when you uninstall, we delete the app’s stored session and configuration for your store.

Data sharing

We do not sell or share any data with third parties. The app is hosted on Render; all data in transit is encrypted using TLS.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
